The Times – Protesters challenge ban on pickets outside abortion clinic
Campaigners will lodge a legal challenge today against a council’s ban on demonstrations outside an abortion clinic.
Ealing Council in west London was the first in the country to create a protest-free zone outside a Marie Stopes clinic.
Alina Dulgheriu, a representative for the campaign group Be Here For Me, will file a High Court challenge on Friday against the council’s decision.
The group said that the order “criminalises prayer and support outside an abortion clinic”.
