David Kurten AM defends abortion centre vigils in London Assembly

 In Be Here For Me

On the 21st of December 2017, David Kurten AM made a speech to the London Assembly, opposing a motion that called for existing police powers to be used to stop peaceful vigils outside abortion clinics, falsely presenting them as involving ‘harassment’ and ‘intimidation’.

Kurten pointed out that no convictions or prosecutions have occurred in Ealing, where a vigil there has been the focus of debate, nor have the police raised issues with the vigil.

Kurten also points movingly to the many pregnant women and their babies who have been helped and given real ‘choice’ by groups like Good Counsel Network.
